Privacy Policy
Just Holler is an AI receptionist that answers phone calls for home-service businesses. It is operated by Fossa Visuals LLC (“Just Holler,” “we,” “us”). This policy explains what we collect, why, and who we share it with. It covers two groups of people: our customers (the businesses that sign up) and callers (people who call a customer's Just Holler number).
The short version
- We use call and account information only to run Just Holler for our customers.
- We never sell personal information and we don't use it for advertising.
- If you connect Google Calendar, we use it only to book jobs. See Google user data.
- Mobile phone numbers and text-message consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Information we collect
From customers. Your name, email, password, business name, trade, service area, business hours, the cell number where you want calls and texts, your notification email, the services, prices, and FAQs you give the assistant, and your settings. Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
From callers. When someone calls a Just Holler number, we collect their phone number, the time and length of the call, a recording of the call (if the business has recording turned on, and callers are told at the start), a written transcript, and the details they choose to share, like their name, address, the job they need done, and any appointment they book. Just Holler numbers are automated lines: we don't read or forward texts sent to them, other than STOP and HELP requests.
Automatically. Basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, used to keep the service secure and working. We use cookies only to keep you logged in. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
How we use it
- To answer calls on a customer's behalf, answer callers' questions, and book appointments.
- To send the customer a summary of each call by text message and email, and show calls, recordings, and transcripts in their dashboard.
- To route calls, forward urgent calls, and fall back to the customer's own phone if something goes wrong.
- To manage accounts, trials, subscriptions, and billing, and to provide support.
- To keep Just Holler secure, prevent abuse, fix problems, and improve how the service works.
- To meet legal obligations.
How the AI works with your calls
Just Holler's voice assistant is powered by xAI. During a call, the caller's audio is streamed to xAI in real time so the assistant can understand and reply. After the call, the transcript is sent to xAI to write the summary. xAI processes this data to provide its service to us and may keep API data for up to 30 days under its own policies. We do not sell call data, and we don't use it to build advertising profiles.
The assistant tells callers it is a virtual assistant. AI can make mistakes, so customers should check important details in the recording or transcript.
Text messages
Business owners can choose to get call summaries and alerts by text at the cell number they give us. People who book an appointment by phone can choose, on the call, to get one text confirming it at the number they called from. These texts are sent only to people who agreed to them. Message frequency depends on call volume, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop texts at any time, or HELP for help. See our SMS terms for details.
Google user data
Customers can connect a Google Calendar in Settings so the assistant doesn't book jobs over their other plans and their jobs show up in Google Calendar. Connecting is optional and only happens when the customer signs in with Google and approves access. Here is what Just Holler does with that access:
- What we read. The free and busy times on the connected calendar, so the assistant only offers times the customer is free. The title, time, location, and link of events on that calendar, shown only to the customer, read-only, in their Just Holler calendar. The email address of the connected Google account, so the customer can see which account is connected.
- What we write. Calendar events for the jobs, callbacks, and blocked-off times booked or added in Just Holler, with the details the caller or customer gave (name, phone number, address, job, and notes). We update an event when its job moves and delete it when the job is cancelled or removed. We only change events Just Holler created.
- What we keep. The access tokens Google gives us (encrypted) and the ID of each event we created, so we can update it later. We don't store the contents of your other events. Busy times are kept in memory for about a minute.
We use Google Calendar data only to schedule and book jobs for the customer who connected it. We never sell it, never use it for advertising, and never use it to train AI models. The voice assistant is told only which times are open, not what is on the calendar. People at Just Holler don't read Google Calendar data unless the customer asks us to for support, it's needed for security, or the law requires it.
A customer can disconnect Google Calendar at any time in Settings. That revokes our access and deletes the stored tokens. Access can also be removed from the Google account's third-party connections page.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the companies that help us run Just Holler, and only what they need to do their job:
- Twilio: phone numbers, calls, call recordings, and text messages
- xAI: the voice assistant and call summaries
- Supabase: our database and login system
- Stripe: subscriptions and payments
- Railway: hosting for the Just Holler app
- Resend: email delivery
Call details naturally go to the business the caller phoned. That business is responsible for how it uses those details. We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect people's safety or our rights, or as part of a merger or sale of our business, in which case this policy would still apply to it.
How long we keep it
We keep account information and call records (recordings, transcripts, and summaries) for as long as the customer's account is open. After an account is closed, we delete or anonymize its data within 90 days, unless we need to keep some of it longer for legal, tax, billing, or security reasons.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access to customer data is restricted by account, and our phone webhooks are verified so outsiders can't fake calls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify affected people if a breach requires it.
Your choices
- Customers can update their information and turn text or email summaries on or off in Settings at any time.
- Customers can turn call recording off in Settings.
- Anyone, customer or caller, can ask us to access, correct, or delete their personal information by emailing fossavisuals@gmail.com. Callers may also want to contact the business they called, since that business controls its call records.
Children
Just Holler is a service for businesses and isn't meant for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If the changes are significant, we'll tell customers by email or in the app before they take effect.
